corresponding author) will be guided step-by-step during the processes of
submission and uploading of files. All correspondence, including notification
of the Editor's decision and requests for revision, takes place by e-mail.
3. Originality and novelty of manuscript
Manuscript
submitted to the journal should not be published in any form, nor accepted for
publication or is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
All accepted
manuscripts should contain significant progress on concepts, theories, methods,
or techniques leading to a substantially improved understanding of the subject.
4. Authorship of a paper
All those who
have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution or
interpretation of the manuscript may be listed as coauthors, while others who
made less substantial, or purely technical, contributions to the research or to
the publication may be listed in the acknowledgement section. When a manuscript
has more than one author, one of the authors should be designated as the
corresponding author to receive and respond to correspondence from the editors.
The corresponding author is responsible for representing all of the coauthors,
and should ensure that all the authors have seen and agreed to the submitted
manuscript and inclusion of names their as co-authors.
Any addition,
deletion or rearrangement of author names is generally not allowed after
submission. In some exceptional circumstances, the corresponding author should
contact with the chief editor stating the reason for the change in author list,
and providing written confirmation (e-mail, letter) from all authors of both
the original and new manuscripts that they agree with the change in author
list. If this request is approved by the Chief Editor, the revised manuscript
should be re-submitted and treated as a new submission.
5. Peer review process and confidentiality
Each manuscript
submitted to the journal will be given unbiased and objective assessment by
peer review through three steps.
1) The manuscript will be
initially evaluated by the chief editor (or a deputy chief editor) and a
subject editor responsible for the specific discipline.
2) If the evaluation outcome is
positive, the manuscript will be sent to at least two external reviewers.
Decisions will be made as soon as possible, and the journal strives to have the
reviewers’ comments to within 3 weeks. For a manuscript needs revision, the
authors are required to submit the revised manuscript within two weeks. If
necessary, the revised manuscripts will be sent for another round of peer
review.
3) Finally, the revised
manuscripts will be evaluated by the chief editor (or a deputy chief editor),
and the decision of acceptance or further revision will be made.
The review
result of a manuscript is solely based on its scientific or technological
contribution to the subject without regard to the race, gender, religion, or
political belief of the author(s). All manuscripts are treated as confidential
during the peer review process.
6. Copyright transfer agreement
A Copyright
Transfer Agreement (CTA) signed by all of the author(s) is needed after a
manuscript is accepted for publication. If the contribution belongs to the
employing institution of author(s), the employer should also sign the CTA.
If accepted, a
manuscript should not be published elsewhere, either in Chinese or in any other
language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder.
7. Open Access policy
This journal
adopt an open access policy and once published, the contents are freely
available to the public. Unedited manuscript will appear at the “Just accepted”
column of the journal website shortly after the acceptance of a manuscript, and
the final paper will appear electronically in the corresponding issue after the
publication of an issue.
8. References and citation
To fully
acknowledge all relevant works, authors are asked to ensure that their
citations of previously published works are comprehensive at the time of
submission. The authors should also ensure that the reference information is
correct, and that every reference cited in the text is also present in the
reference list (and vice versa).
Authors are
asked to not use copied text, data, figures or tables in published work in
their manuscript without permission. If a direct quotation is appropriate, the
original source should be properly cited with quotation marks. Figures, tables
and other images reproduced from other works normally require the permission of
copyright-holder. Articles violating this rule will be rejected.
