About The Journal 

The Journal of Hydroelectric Engineering is a journal sponsored by the China Hydropower Engineering Society, approved by the China Association for Science and Technology. It was first published in 1982 as a quarterly journal, changed to bimonthly in 2004, and then to monthly from 2015. The journal publishes scientific and technological papers related to hydroelectric power generation, including the following topics: hydropower planning, hydrology, water resources, water environment, hydraulics, sediment transport, tidal and wave power generation, hydraulic structures, hydropower station design and project management, as well as its ancillary equipment operation, monitoring and control. It also concerns the optimization methods in hydropower station and cascade reservoir operation, impacts of hydropower projects on the ecological environment. The editorial office endeavors to timely publish new research outcomes in these fields, including science and technology innovations and theoretical advancements, for both domestic and international readers.

The journal is a national core academic journal certified by the China Association for Science and Technology. It is included the Chinese Science Citation Database Source Journals, the Chinese Science Journal Abstract Database, the Chinese Science and Technology Papers Statistics and Analysis Database, China Newspaper Subscription Guide Information Database and Chinese Academic Journals (CD). Internationally, it is included in Scopus, one of the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed scientific journals. The journal was awarded the third prize for excellent journals by the China Science and Technology Association a few years ago.
